Steve West teaches English at Martin Methodist College, Pulaski, TN. He was born in and has lived most of his life in Arkansas (Cleburne County, to be precise). West earned BSE and MA degrees from the University of Central AR and taught at Shirley, Arkansas, for seven years, before wandering off to the Uni. of Southern MS for the PhD.  Most of his writing focuses on north Arkansas, and his previous work has appeared in recent issues of Foliate Oak, Phantasmagoria, Muscadine Lines,  usadeepsouth, and others.
