Sandy Rankin
lives in Fayetteville. Ten years after earning her M.F.A. in Creative
Writing, she is writing her Ph.D. dissertation "China Miéville: Monsters,
Magic, & Marxism (A Poetry of the Past, A Poetry of the Future)," & a book
of poetry "What's Your Song, King Kong?", & a book of short stories "How's
Tricks?" She has previously published in ALF, and elsewhere. She
thanks Marck Beggs and ALF for including her "weird poetry"
(inspired by "weird fiction") in ALF's tenth and last volume.
Forthcoming in Extrapolations is Sandy's essay called "AGASH AGASP
AGAPE: The Weaver as Imminant Utopian Impulse in China Miéville's
Perdido Street Station & Iron Council."
