The author was born in Taiwan and raised in Libya and Arkansas.  After graduating Hendrix College he continued his education at Boston University, where he had the opportunity to study with eminent literary figures such as Elie Wiesel and Saul Bellow.  His fiction is forthcoming in Zahir, and has also been published in The Aonian and The Little Rock Free Press.  He has been a finalist or semifinalist in the Faulkner-Wisdom Fiction Competition (2005 and 2006), the New Millennium Fiction Awards, and the Writer's Digest Fiction Contest (top 20).  The author can be reached at gibsonmonk@gmail.com.
