Phillip McMath is the author of a trilogy of novels: Native Ground (1984, August House), Arrival Point (1991, M&M Press), and Lost Kingdom (in progress). A lawyer with the McMath Law firm since 1973, he has also written Dress Blues (a full-length play produced by the Weekend Theater in Little Rock in 1999), and published two short stories in the Timberland Press. A past president of WORDS: The Arkansas Literary Society and co-founder of the prestigious Porter Fund Literary Prize, McMath's own work has garnered him an NEA grant in 1984 and a Friend of WORDS award in 1997. McMath belongs to a number of cultural boards and committees and has also published widely as a free-lance journalist and reviewer. |
