BILLY ABBOTT was born on April 24, 1978, in Stuttgart, Arkansas.  Shortly thereafter, his family moved to Bismarck, where he has spent the majority of his life.  He has been writing poetry for many years.  However, he had not endeavored to develop his writing until the last three years.  He has only been published in one literary journal, Proscenium.  Currently he is attending Henderson State University, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  Billy graduated in December 2004, with two B.A. degrees, one in Political Science, and the other in Spanish.  Having a double major does not require a student to complete a minor, yet he chose to minor in Writing Specialization.  During the past year, he has been working on his master of liberal arts degree in English.  From there, he would like to further his education by getting his Ph.D. in creative writing.
