Arkansas currently enjoys a wealth of excellent writers who have earned reputations far beyond our borders. Unfortunately, many are not well-exposed outside the literary community (and, even here, there is much to be desired in terms of recognition, organization, and communication).
The Arkansas Literary Forum seeks to remedy this situation by bringing new work by the best writers in the state -- free -- to anyone with an Internet connection. Many of our authors have published books with national presses and won all sorts of literary prizes and critical accolades. Others are on their way up. With a couple of notable exceptions, all of them live in Arkansas. The exceptions are writers who published nationally while living here, and have maintained strong contacts with the literary community.
We aim to publish strong, provocative work.
Comments, criticism, and contributions are welcome.
