Stephanie Vanderslice teaches creative writing at the University of Central Arkansas.  She has published fiction and creative nonfiction as well scholarly work on the teaching of writing in the American Literary Review, Writing On the Edge, Profession, New Writing,  and many others.  She is also the editor, with Dr. Kelly Ritter, of Can It Really Be Taught? Resisting Lore in Creative Writing Pedagogy from Heinemann Boynton Cook and is currently at work on a novel.
