Nannette Crane hails from New York state, but has lived in Hot Springs for the last seventeen years and is convinced there is no larger societal difference than that between New York and Arkansas.  Now she believes that humidity courses through her veins rather than blood.  However, only recently has she been able to use Arkansas as a setting for her work. Or is it atmosphere?  She lives with five highly intelligent cats, a lucky dog, two nearly hairless pet rats, and a lovely new colony of carpenter bees.  And her boyfriend of nine years, Julian Post. I teach English and Creative Writing at National Park Community College and at Henderson State University.
